Monthly bookkeeping

Keep Your Books Current in Salt Lake City, UT

Flat monthly rate, month to month, no contract. If it stops being worth it, you give us 30 days and take a complete set of books with you.

  • Every transaction categorized, every account reconciled
  • Plain-English summary of what changed
  • Duplicate charges and stale subscriptions raised

E-commerce and direct-sales businesses are a distinctive part of the local work, and they share a specific difficulty: money arrives through several processors, each with its own fee structure, timing and reporting format. None of them agrees with the bank, and reconciling them is the monthly close.

What's included

What our service covers in Salt Lake City

Everything below is part of the engagement — no surprise add-ons.

Onboarding handover

Roughly a week to connect feeds, build or clean the chart of accounts and agree what belongs in your monthly pack.

Cash flow snapshot

A short view of what came in, what went out and what is committed, so a tight month is visible before it becomes a problem.

Software cost review

Subscriptions accumulate quietly. We surface what is being charged and let you decide what is still earning its place.

Fixed asset register

Purchases that should be capitalized rather than expensed are identified and tracked, so the balance sheet reflects what the business actually owns.

Transaction categorization

A chart of accounts built around how your business actually earns and spends, coded consistently so month-on-month comparisons mean something.

How it runs

What happens after you get in touch

Only the first step needs anything from you.

1

Tell us where things stand

A 20-minute call covering your transaction volume, how many accounts are in play and how far behind (if at all) things are. You get a flat monthly rate on that call.

2

We take over the file

Read-only feeds get connected, the chart of accounts is built or cleaned up, and we agree what belongs in your monthly pack. Roughly a week end to end.

3

It just runs

Transactions are categorized as they arrive, accounts reconcile monthly, and your reports land by the 10th. When something needs a decision, your bookkeeper calls you.

Good fit

This is a good fit if…

  • You are ready to hand the books over entirely
  • You want your CPA to stop billing for cleanup first

Several processors, one set of books

Each processor deposits net of its own fees on its own schedule. Recorded as they land, revenue is understated, fees are invisible, and the reported margin is wrong in a way that looks perfectly plausible.

We reconcile each processor back to gross sales and record the fees as costs, so revenue reflects what customers paid and the cost of taking payment is visible enough to be questioned.

Once that is in place, comparing processors becomes possible, and the difference between them is often larger than businesses expect.
